The origin of Team Kim
Kim, my wife, passed away on Mar 24th, 2014 from complications of AML (acute myeloid leukemia). She was 37. She fought this disease for two years, winning remission once and undergoing treatments that no person should have to go through. She left behind a family that included our twin two year old daughters.
The outcome is heartbreaking. Our response does not need to be.
This is why I'm a part of Team Kim, a country wide group of TnT'ers dedicated to raising money for AML research. You can join us and help make this a reality by joining Team Kim! Team in Training (TnT), a group endurance event fundraising program for the leukemia and lymphoma society (LLS), helps to get people ready for walking and running half and full marathons, triathlons and other events. Our goal is to raise $100,000 and establish the Kimberly B Wang grant for AML research, but more importantly help us all end blood cancers and ultimately all cancers.
The Kimberly Brigati Wang Grant for AML Research - that has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?
